So here it is, the second episode of the all new Rathole Radio. This was broadcast live and recorded last night, Sunday 14th of June at 9pm. I had a few technical hitches which flustered me a bit at times but I guess after the first show you’ve come to expect that. I’m still learning. I had great fun and the vote for the live track seemed to work well. It’s a mixed bag of styles. Here’s the tack listing all the vital info I know you want to know:

24:11 – Words Of Wisdom: Howard Marks -  He talks about Gee’s Linctus which is a cough medicine only avialable in chemists. Finding information on it was difficult but this is the best I could do

52:00 – Live Track: Men At Work – “Down Under” – This is the track people listening to the live show chose for me to play.

66:00 – News story: Fleet Foxes Say Piracy Has Helped Music

72:23 – The Binmen – “A Gene Pool Fit For The Queen” – CC BY-SA – I don’t have the exact license but as I used to be in a band with these guys, I know they won’t mind anyone using it as they want. I’ll take the blame. Dedicated to Nazi Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP!!!

Thanks to everyone who took part in the show and thanks for listening to the podcast. I really appreciate it. I’m not sure what will happen with the next live show because I’m away in Germany. I might just pre-record the show and release it as a podcast that week. Check back in 2 weeks to see what happens. I’m lining up a very interesting guest, so stay tuned. Hi Dan,
Enjoyed the second show as much, no, no, more than the first! Again, much was new to me, and a great mix. FYI: the description/info on identi.ca/ratholeradio states, “a weekly show”. Cheers.

@missTech – Oh thank you, I’m really glad you enjoyed it :) Thanks also for pointing out that I need to update the Identi.ca page. The original plan was to do this weekly but it would be too much at the moment

@hezy – Thanks man, I suppose it’s gonna get harder to keep coming up with new stuff the longer I go on, but I’m not giving up without a fight. No sign of that yet ;)

Hey Dan, thanks for playing Dross on Rathole Radio. At first I though you played songs from the Smashing Pumpkins because you pitied my recommendation, but you must actually like them too!
I do have one question – when are you going to play some of your own recorded songs?

@dizmal Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I do really like the Pumpkins, I always have from when I was a teenager. I will play some of my original tunes in time don’t worry, want to work up to that a bit. Thanks for listening

I’m late as usual but another great episode, really enjoyed it. Smashing Pumpkins are great, and also loved the track by Major Major – off to download their album now. :)

@Jackie – Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. I really like Major Major actually, and I just discovered they’re from Liverpool, doh!! So I should try and find them in town, maybe get a live track or an interview, or both if I can :P
