Episode Two – 14th June 09
Posted on June 15, 2009
So here it is, the second episode of the all new Rathole Radio. This was broadcast live and recorded last night, Sunday 14th of June at 9pm. I had a few technical hitches which flustered me a bit at times but I guess after the first show you’ve come to expect that. I’m still learning. I had great fun and the vote for the live track seemed to work well. It’s a mixed bag of styles. Here’s the tack listing all the vital info I know you want to know:
- Opening Track – Bo Diddley & Chuck D – “Wreck It” – License Unknown
- 08:07 – Smashing Pumpkins – “Dross” – Public Domain
- 11:35 – Byron – “We’re All Gonna Die” – Public Domain
- 17:43 – BinarPilot – “Bend”
- 28:11 – Jonay – “Swedish Ladies” – CC BY
- 34:39 – Temporary States Of Being – “Mystery” – License Unknown
- 37:35 – Smashing Pumpkins – “If There Is A God” – Public Domain – Taken from Machina II
- 46:39 – Tryad – “Beauty” – CC BY-SA
52:00 – Live Track: Men At Work – “Down Under” – This is the track people listening to the live show chose for me to play.
66:00 – News story: Fleet Foxes Say Piracy Has Helped Music
72:23 – The Binmen – “A Gene Pool Fit For The Queen” – CC BY-SA – I don’t have the exact license but as I used to be in a band with these guys, I know they won’t mind anyone using it as they want. I’ll take the blame. Dedicated to Nazi Nick Griffin, leader of the BNP!!!
Thanks to everyone who took part in the show and thanks for listening to the podcast. I really appreciate it. I’m not sure what will happen with the next live show because I’m away in Germany. I might just pre-record the show and release it as a podcast that week. Check back in 2 weeks to see what happens. I’m lining up a very interesting guest, so stay tuned.
