Welcome to a very special Rathole Radio. We have our first guest session this time from the fabulous I Am Not Lefthanded, a band I’ve played on the show a few times before. I really like them and as you’ll hear in the interview they’re great folks and very funny. I also found time to play my usual eclectic range of music before and after the interview. There’s less tunes than normal an more waffle but I wanted to take the chance to really get to know the guests. I hope you enjoy the show!

I mentioned Guru’s health situation and wished him well. Take care man, hip hop needs you.

I talked about our fabulous New logo. Big thanks to Scott from Bad Format for making it.

Episode 3 is upon us, and this time I’m writing to you from lovely Bonn, Germany. I’ve been here for the last week and I pre-recorded this show before leaving. At the time I should be doing the live show I’ll actually be on a plane heading back towards England from Amsterdam. This jet set life style is fun, but also very tiring. I think I’ll sleep most of next week. Anyway, this show is a little different as we have our first guests, Professor Kliq and his manager. Here’s the vital details:

  • 00:00 – The Soft Drugs – Defending The Paint – License Unknown
  • 08:11 – Kabbage – Breakfast – From the 2008 album “Patchwork Soup” – CC BY-NC-SA
  • 12:56 – Revolution Void – Headphonetic – CC BY-NC-SA
  • 19:40 – Convey – Chalkboard – CC BY-NC-SA

Interview: Professor Kliq & Dan Costalis. I had a great chat with Professor Kliq (AKA Mike) and his manager Dan (good name). We discussed how he makes his music, how Creative Commons affects it, lab coats and much much more. I also got him to pick a couple of his tracks for us to play and discuss.

  • 33:17 – Professor Kliq – Ambition
  • 50:08 – Professor Kliq – Plastic And Flashing Lights

From the album The Scientific Method Volume 2. Licensed under CC BY-SA

News Story: Mother of 4 fined 1.9mil dollars for sharing 24 songs

Don’t forget if you’re a musician or you’re in a band, I want to hear what you do. If I like it, I’ll play it. Simple, them’s the rules! I don’t care what style it is, how professional or un-professional you are, send it. Take care till next time folks. I’ll be back with a live show on Sunday 12th July at 9pm. Please join me and contribute to the live show, it’s a lot of fun.
